We are pleased to offer CEREC, one of the most exciting innovations in restorative dental technology to date. CEREC reduces a patient’s time in the dental chair, improves patient comfort, and yields superior results.

An acronym for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics, CEREC allows dentists to quickly restore damaged teeth with natural-colored ceramic fillings. Using the CEREC system, Dr. Fishman can economically restore damaged teeth in a single appointment. CEREC makes crowns (caps), fillings, inlays, onlays, and veneers.

CEREC incorporates CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design/Computer Aided Manufacturing), a camera, and a milling machine in one instrument.Dr. Fishman uses a special camera to capture accurate images of the damaged tooth. This optical impression is transferred and displayed on a color computer screen where he uses CAD technology to design the restoration. Then CAM takes over and automatically creates the restoration while the patient waits. Finally, the dentist bonds the new restoration to the surface of the old tooth. The whole process takes about one hour for a single restoration.

Not only does CEREC eliminate a second visit, but it utilizes tooth-colored ceramic for optimal esthetic results. The fillings resist plaque and function like the client's natural teeth.
